Time based design for an innovative multi purpose public complex for the Southwest District of Bat-Yam.

The Tabenkin Complex project is located in the heart of Bat Yam’s Southwest District, near the coastal promenade and within walking distance of the Balfour/Yoseftal light rail station. The complex’s design is based on spatial flexibility, allowing for a variety of activities throughout the day, all week long, and for all city residents. The complex integrates an innovative planning approach aimed at transforming a gated area into an open, accessible, and vibrant space for all district residents.

The planning principles include expanding high-quality public open spaces, improving connectivity through a network of pedestrian and bicycle paths as well as public transportation, and creating an urban green framework that promotes walkability and links public institutions along an east-west axis.

Additionally, the project emphasizes the preservation of mature tree groves and open spaces for public use while implementing green building principles and planning suited to the city’s density and proximity to the coastline.
